November Fall The Russell 2000 is down about 4% so far this month. It is 5.25% from the October 15th high. The Nasdaq fell 3.6% in November. It is 4.8% from the October 29th high. The S&P Tech sector fell 4.5% in November and is down 6.1% from its October 29 high. The consumer staples sector fell 3.6% in November and is down 5.25% from its Nov. 3 high. .RUT 3M Mountain Russell 2000 Index Over the Past 3 Months Big Tech CNBC.com users have shown even more interest than usual in Big Tech over the past 24 hours. AMD, Apple, and CoreWeave were the most searched tickers. AMD fell 4.2% on Thursday. The stock is up 7% from its October 29 high. Apple was almost flat. The stock is up 1.6% from its Halloween high. Coreweave fell 8.3% on Thursday. The stock is currently up 58% from its June 20 high. Long-established tech giant Cisco rebounded on Thursday, rising 4.6%. The stock hit a 52-week high on Thursday, but is down 2.7% from its all-time high. Incidentally, Cisco was also ranked at the top of CNBC.com’s ticker the previous day. IBM fell 3.2% on Thursday after hitting a new high on Wednesday. It is 6.2% from Wednesday’s peak. CSCO 3M Mountain Cisco Systems Stock Over the Past 3 Months Watching Argentina and Latin America The White House reaches a trade deal with Argentina. The news came after the bell. On Thursday, the Global X MSCI Argentina ETF (ARGT) fell 2.5%. It is 6.7% from the November 3rd high. There are also agreements with El Salvador, Ecuador, and Guatemala. The iShares Latin America 40 ETF (ILF) fell 1% on Thursday. That’s 2.5% from Tuesday’s high. Most of the ETF’s stocks are from Brazil, Mexico, and Chile, with a few stocks from Peru and Colombia. The iShares MSCI Mexico ETF (EWW), an ETF that tracks Mexico, hit its all-time high on Wednesday, but is down 3.3% from that all-time high. It rose 8.7% in three months. Cybersecurity Several major cybersecurity stocks fell on Thursday. Cloudflare fell 5.4%. That’s 18% from November’s high. Sentinel One fell 3.7%. The stock price is down 44% from its high in November of last year. CrowdStrike fell 3% on Thursday. This means the stock is down 6.5% from Wednesday’s 52-week price. Anthropic released information in September that its AI platform was used by Chinese state-sponsored hackers to attack businesses and governments. Bitcoin hit its lowest price since May on Thursday, closing below $100,000. Bitcoin has fallen 22% since its October 6th high.
