Mohamed Salah is unlikely to be included in Liverpool’s squad to face Inter Milan in the Champions League on Tuesday.
Sky Sports News understands that a final decision has not yet been made and forward training will take place as normal on Monday.
His unexpected resignation was announced just two days after he gave a fiery interview after the 3-3 draw with Leeds, claiming he had been “thrown under the bus”, had nothing to do with manager Arn Slott and that Saturday’s game against Brighton could be his last at Anfield.
Salah has started on the bench in Liverpool’s last three games and has been a regular starter and talisman for the Reds since joining the club in 2017, but his form has declined this season, scoring five goals in 18 games.

Salah, who signed a new contract at the end of last season, told reporters on Saturday: “I’ve done a lot for this club in the past, especially last season. Now I’m sitting on the bench and I don’t know why.”

“It seems like the club threw me under the bus, that’s how I feel. I think it’s clear that someone was trying to put all the blame on me.
“We received a lot of promises in the summer, but I can’t say they’re keeping their promises because they’ve been on the bench for three games so far.
“As I have said many times before, I had a good relationship with the manager and suddenly it stopped. I don’t know why, but from my point of view it feels like someone doesn’t want me at the club.”

Asked whether his relationship with Arne Slott had broken down, he replied: “Yes, there is no relationship between us. We had a very good relationship and now all of a sudden we have no relationship.”
It has also been suggested that Saturday’s game against Brighton at Anfield could be his final game for the club, with the trip to Inter marking Salah’s penultimate appearance for the Reds as the 33-year-old joins up with Egypt for next week’s African Cup of Nations. He is rumored to be moving to the Saudi Pro League in January.
“I told (my family) to come to the Brighton game. I don’t know if I’m going to play or not, but I’m going to enjoy it. In my head, I’m going to enjoy the game, because you don’t know what’s going to happen now.
“I’m going to say goodbye to the fans and go to Anfield to go to the Africa Cup. You never know what will happen when you’re there.”

Asked if this would be his last game for Liverpool, Salah said: “In football you never know. I can’t accept this situation. I’ve done a lot for this club.”
Liverpool manager Slott will address the media ahead of the match against Inter Milan at 6:45pm (GMT) and will focus on Salah’s future and their personal relationship.
