apple Chip leader Johnny Srouzi addressed rumors of an impending departure in a memo to employees on Monday, saying he has no plans to leave the company anytime soon.
“I love my team, I love my job at Apple, and I don’t plan on leaving anytime soon,” he wrote.
Bloomberg reported on Saturday that Mr. Srouzi told CEO Tim Cook that he was considering resigning, citing people familiar with the matter.
Srouji is considered one of the company’s most important executives and has been in charge of the company’s hardware technology team, including chip development. “I know you’ve been reading all kinds of rumors and speculation about my future at Apple, and I think you need to hear it directly from me,” Srouji wrote in the note. “I’m proud of the amazing technology we’re all building across a huge range of technologies across displays, cameras, sensors, silicon, batteries, and all Apple products.”

A day after Dye’s departure, Apple announced the departures of General Counsel Kate Adams and Vice President of Environment, Policy and Social Initiatives Lisa Jackson. Adams and Jackson both reported directly to Cook.
