The roughly 100,000 photos obtained by House Democrats from the estate of notorious sex offender Jeffrey Epstein include photos of President Donald Trump, former President Bill Clinton, Microsoft founder Bill Gates, film director Woody Allen and former Trump adviser Steve Bannon at social gatherings.

One of a series of photos released Friday morning showed President Trump standing in the middle of a row of six women, his face obscured by Democrats before being released. Some women wear Hawaiian leis around their necks.

Another photo shows Trump standing behind Epstein at what appears to be a social event. A third photo shows President Trump sitting next to a woman whose face has been painted black on what appears to be an airplane.

Mr. Trump was a longtime friend of Mr. Epstein until the two had a falling out in the early 2000s. She has not been accused of any wrongdoing in connection with Mr. Epstein and has denied knowledge that Mr. Epstein abused girls and women while they were friends.

CNBC has reached out to the White House for comment.

One photo shows Clinton standing with Epstein, his now-convicted procurement officer Ghislaine Maxwell, and another man and woman. The photo had Clinton’s autograph on it.

Other photos include former Treasury Secretary Larry Summers, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, formerly known as Britain’s Prince Andrew, and Epstein’s former lawyer Alan Dershowitz.

A photo from the Jeffrey Epstein file released by Democrats on the House Oversight Committee shows Donald Trump and an unknown woman. Edited by Democrats on the House Oversight Committee. Date and context are unclear.

The date, location and background of the photo were not disclosed as part of Friday’s release.

CNBC has reached out to the people identified in the photos, and all have denied any wrongdoing. This story will be updated with their responses.

“This latest work includes more than 95,000 photos, including photos of the rich and powerful who spent time with Jeffrey Epstein,” said a statement from Democrats on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee.

“The images also include thousands of photographs of women and Epstein’s property,” the statement said. “The Democratic Committee is reviewing the entire set of photos and will continue to make them available to the public in the coming days and weeks. The Democratic Committee is committed to protecting the identities of survivors.”

“It’s time to end this White House cover-up and bring justice to the survivors of Jeffrey Epstein and his powerful friends,” California Rep. Robert Garcia, the committee’s ranking Democrat, said in a statement.

“These disturbing photos raise even more questions about Epstein’s relationships with some of the most powerful people in the world. We will not rest until the American people know the truth. The Department of Justice must release all files now.”

President Trump and top law enforcement officials in his administration resisted for months the idea of releasing investigative files related to Epstein and Maxwell until Congress overwhelmingly passed a law in November that would require the Justice Department to do so.

Those files are separate from those released by Democrats on Friday and have not yet been released to the public.

Garcia said the committee received a new set of photos from Epstein’s estate on Thursday night.

Democrats on the committee have reviewed “probably about 25,000 (photos) so far,” he said.

“There’s a huge amount of photos that we haven’t looked at yet,” Garcia said. “It takes days to weeks to get those photos and make sure they are edited in the right way.”

“Obviously there are pictures of people in power and people that we want to have the opportunity to talk to and ask questions about,” Garcia said.

He noted that the photos are in the possession of the foundation and that some were taken by Mr. Epstein himself, while others may have been sent to Mr. Epstein.

“Some of the other photos we didn’t release today are very disturbing,” Garcia added.

Epstein died by suicide in prison in August 2019, weeks after he was arrested on child prostitution charges filed by the Justice Department during President Trump’s first term.

Maxwell is serving a 20-year federal prison sentence after being convicted in 2021 of charges related to recruiting underage girls to be sexually abused by Epstein.

“President Clinton has no knowledge of the horrific crimes to which Jeffrey Epstein pleaded guilty in Florida years ago, or the crimes for which he was recently charged in New York,” Clinton’s press secretary, Angel Urena, said in a July 2019 statement.

“In 2002 and 2003, President Clinton traveled on Jeffrey Epstein’s plane a total of four times: once to Europe, once to Asia, and twice to Africa, including stops related to the work of the Clinton Foundation. Staff, Foundation supporters, and members of the President’s Secret Service traveled on all legs of the trip,” Urena said.

“He met with Epstein once at his Harlem office in 2002, and made one brief visit to Epstein’s apartment in New York with staff and security personnel during the same period. He has not spoken to Epstein in more than a decade and has never been to Little St. James Island, Epstein’s ranch in New Mexico, or his home in Florida.”
