Tottenham and Atletico Madrid have agreed a deal worth £34 million for Conor Gallagher.
Sky Sports News previously reported that Spurs are in the market for a midfielder after Rodrigo Bentancur missed most of the season with a hamstring injury.
Aston Villa and Tottenham have both approached Atletico about signing Gallagher. However, negotiations are now moving firmly in Spurs’ direction.
They have long admired Gallagher. They were interested when he signed with Atlético in August 2024.
The England international signed for the Spanish club in the summer of 2024 for around £38 million.
Gallagher, 25, is under contract with Atletico until the summer of 2029.
Gallagher has extensive experience in the Premier League, making 136 appearances for the likes of West Brom, Crystal Palace and Chelsea before joining Atletico Madrid.
