Callum Wilson’s final strike put Thomas Frank under pressure as Tottenham were booed at half-time and full-time after losing 2-1 to West Ham at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Franck, nicknamed “El Sacchico” by former Spurs manager Tim Sherwood before the match, thought he had saved his side a point after Cristian Romero’s bullet header (64 points) canceled out Crisencio Somerville’s deflected strike (15 points), but Wilson’s strike in stoppage time handed the hosts their ninth league defeat of the season.

It sparked a mass exodus at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The home fans had seen enough, but the remaining fans began chants of “fired in the morning” at Frank, who was again booed as he applauded the fans on his way to the tunnel.

It was a stark contrast to West Ham’s players, who celebrated with their fans after ending a long run of 10 games without a win in the Premier League, as they looked to break out of the doldrums.

More to come.
