Jelena Kankovic’s goal gave Brighton a 1-0 victory over struggling women’s Super League rivals Everton, but they are yet to pick up a point at Goodison Park this season.
The only goal came in the 41st minute, from a bad mistake by Martina Fernandes. The ball that Fernandes tried to break out from behind was given to Kiko Seike.
The Japanese forward jumped past Fernandes and cut the ball back for Kanković to score his first WSL goal of the season.
This means Everton have lost all six of their WSL matches at Goodison Park since switching to their famous old ground at the start of the season.
