Two Chelsea supporters were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries in Napoli on Tuesday night.

Italian police told Sky Sports News that one person was treated for injuries at the Vecchio Pellegrini Hospital after the incident near Naples’ Santa Maria La Nova district. The supporters were subsequently released.

Police added that the supporter was with a group of Chelsea fans, but another group later met them.

The Blues are in the Italian city in preparation for Wednesday night’s Champions League match against Napoli.

Chelsea urged all visiting fans to take “extreme caution” and follow the club’s guidance ahead of the match.

The Blues have been allocated 2,500 Champions League away tickets.

Chelsea said in a statement on Tuesday night: “The club is aware of the incident that occurred in Napoli on Tuesday night.

“Two fans are being treated at the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

“The club would like to remind all supporters to take extreme care while in the city and to heed the advice shared ahead of this match.”
