Microsoft (MSFT) Q2 2026 Earnings Report

microsoft is scheduled to announce its second quarter results after the market closes on Wednesday.

Here are the forecasts of analysts surveyed by LSEG:

Earnings per share: Adjusted $3.97 Revenue: $80.27 billion

The consensus suggests that analysts expect sales to increase 15% year-over-year for the quarter ending Dec. 31.

Investors will be paying close attention to the growth rate of Microsoft’s Azure cloud infrastructure and other cloud services.

Analysts surveyed by StreetAccount and CNBC expect the category to grow 39.4% and 38.9%, respectively. Azure revenue grew 40% in the first quarter. The deceleration will follow three quarters of the continuous acceleration.

Like its cloud rivals, AmazonMicrosoft has been building data centers equipped with specialized chips that can run generative artificial intelligence models. Microsoft also pays for the following capacity: core weave and Nevius In the form of a lease.

Analysts surveyed by Visible Alpha expect capital spending and finance leases to rise about 52% to $34.31 billion in the quarter.

Microsoft has announced that it will increase subscription prices for its commercial Office productivity software this quarter.

Microsoft-backed OpenAI agreed to spend an additional $250 billion on Azure cloud services, and Anthropic announced plans to purchase $30 billion worth of cloud services and contract up to 1 gigawatt of additional computing capacity.

Over the past three months, Microsoft stock has fallen about 10%, while the S&P 500 index has risen 1%.

Executives are scheduled to discuss the results and issue guidance on a conference call with analysts beginning at 5:30 p.m. ET.
