“We will not tolerate anyone who harms the U.S.-Poland relationship or disrespects President Trump,” said U.S. Ambassador Tom Rose.

The US embassy in Poland has announced it is terminating contact with the country’s parliament speaker over an “outrageous” insult against President Donald Trump.
U.S. Ambassador to Poland Tom Rhodes said Thursday that the decision to end all business dealings with Włodzimierz Charrzyasty takes effect “immediately.”
Mr Czarzasti said this week that Mr Trump did not deserve the Nobel Peace Prize he had long sought, and criticized the US president’s “militant policy” in international affairs. He pointed to President Trump’s tariffs on European countries and threats to seize Greenland, and argued that NATO allies were kept away from the front lines during the war in Afghanistan.
“This is a violation of the politics of principles and values and is often a violation of international law,” Charzasti told reporters.
Rose said Czarzasty’s comments were “outrageous and baseless” and undermined the strong U.S.-Poland relationship.
“I will not allow anyone to undermine the relationship between the United States and Poland or disrespect President Trump, who has given so much to Poland and the Polish people,” Rose wrote to X.
Mr. Czarzasti remained defiant after the reprimand, saying he “respects” the United States as an ally but stands by his view that Mr. Trump is unworthy of the world’s highest peace prize.
Writing in X, Czarzasty said: “I continue to respect the United States as an important partner of Poland. Therefore, while I regret Ambassador Tom Rose’s declaration, I will not change my position on these fundamental issues for Polish women and men.”
This is not the first time Mr. Czarzasti has publicly criticized Mr. Trump.
In late January, Czarzasty joined other senior Polish politicians in condemning President Trump’s comments that the United States “never needed” NATO allies.
Forty-three Polish soldiers and one civil servant have died as part of the US-led North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) coalition in Afghanistan.
Czarzasty heads Poland’s New Left party, which is part of Prime Minister Donald Tusk’s pro-European coalition that also includes nationalist President Karol Navrocki, a vocal supporter of President Trump.
