Caroline Dubois and Terry Harper clashed in a heated confrontation after filming an episode of “The Gloves Are Off.”
Dubois and Harper will fight in a world lightweight title unification bout that will be broadcast live on Sky Sports on April 5th.
The two champions met for the first time on Thursday to compete on The Globes Are Off, but hostility between them threatened to boil over after taping ended.
They continued to throw jibes at each other and when Harper tried to walk away, Dubois followed her rival and confronted her.
“She was biting everything I said,” WBC lightweight champion Dubois told Sky Sports after the fight.
“If someone gets threatened, I think it’s a byproduct, an accusation on their part. I think you get into these things and just try to be yourself. You try to put your feelings into words and be honest. That’s all I did.”
“I see right through her. I’m not focused on her, I’m looking through her,” Dubois continued. “As a human being, I don’t see any resistance in that. I think she’s quite weak, weak-hearted and very pathetic.
“I don’t see any resistance from her.”
Harper, a WBO world lightweight titlist and three-division champion, dismissed Dubois’ comments.
“It felt a little strange,” she told Sky Sports. “I feel like I lost some brain cells trying to argue with idiots, but it’s one of those things you have to do.
“I thought that was stupid and too intrusive and walked away. She tried to argue but I was able to keep a strong head and just get the points and facts that needed to get across. You can’t argue with facts. Just like you can’t argue with a fool, you can’t argue with facts.”
Watch Caroline Dubois vs Terry Harper live on Sky Sports on Sunday 5th April.
