Nearly 20 U.S.-based AI startups have raised more than $100 million in mega-rounds in 2026, and we’re less than two months away.

If the first few weeks of 2026 are any indication, the AI ​​startup market will see another year of monster funding rounds at eye-popping valuations. U.S. AI startups raised more than $76 billion through mega-rounds in 2025, according to a tally by TechCrunch.

Will startups achieve similar success in 2026? Time will tell.

Here are all the US-based AI startups that have raised $100 million or more to date.

February

Simile, which builds AI that mimics human decision-making, has raised $100 million in a Series A round led by Index Ventures. The round was announced on February 12th with participation from Hanabi Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, and several angel investors. Anthropic announced a $30 billion Series G funding round on February 12, valuing the AI ​​lab at $380 billion. Many investors participated in this round, including Founders Fund, Coatue, and Nvidia. Media generation platform Runway has raised $315 million in Series E funding, valuing the company at $5.3 billion. The funding was led by General Atlantic and announced on February 10th. Nvidia, Fidelity, Felicis and others have also invested. Goodfire, an AI research institute, announced a $150 million Series B round on February 5th. B Capital led the round, with participation from Juniper Ventures, Lightspeed Venture Partners, and Menlo Ventures. This round valued the company at $1.25 billion. Fundamental, an AI research company, announced a $255 million Series A round on February 5th. The round valued the company at $1.4 billion. Investors in this round included Oak HC/FT, Salesforce Ventures, Valor Equity Partners, and QP Ventures. Voice AI company Celebrities has raised $500 million in a Series D round announced on February 4th. The round was led by Sequoia and valued the company at $11 billion.

January

Computing platform PaleBlueDot AI has raised $150 million in Series B funding, valuing the startup at $1 billion. The round was announced on January 28th and was led by B Capital. Conversational AI platform Decagon announced a $250 million Series D round on January 28th. The round was co-led by Coatue and Index Ventures and valued the company at $4.5 billion. AI lab Flapping Airplanes has raised $180 million in a seed round led by Google Ventures, Sequoia, and Index Ventures. The round was announced on January 28th and valued the company at $1.5 billion. Baseten has raised $300 million in Series E funding, valuing the AI ​​infrastructure startup at $5 billion. The round was led by IVP and CapitalG and was announced on January 23rd. AI inference startup Inferact has raised a $150 million seed round just a few months after it was founded. The round was announced on January 22 and valued the company at $800 million. The round was co-led by Andreessen Horowitz and Lightspeed Venture Partners. Cambridge, Massachusetts-based OpenEvidence has raised $250 million in a Series D round for its medical AI chatbot. The round was co-led by Thrive Global and DST Global and was announced on January 21st. This round valued OpenEvidence at $12 billion. AI research institute Human& has raised a huge $480 million seed round, announced on January 20th. Investors in this round include Nvidia, Jeff Bezos, GV, and more. The round valued the young startup at $4.48 billion. SkildAI, which builds AI models to power robots, raised $1.4 billion in a Series C round, valuing the startup at $14 billion. The round was announced on January 14th and was led by SoftBank and Nvidia. Voice AI platform Deepgram has raised $130 million in a Series C round led by AVP, with participation from Tiger Global, ServiceNow Ventures, Madrona, and others. The round was announced on January 13th and valued the company at $1.3 billion. Arena, a large-scale language model evaluation platform, has raised $150 million in Series A funding, co-led by Felicis and UC Investments. The round valued the one-year-old startup at $1.7 billion and was announced on January 6th. Elon Musk’s xAI has started the new year with a bang. AI Research Institute announced a $20 billion Series E round on January 6th. Valor Equity Partners, Fidelity, Qatar Investment Authority and others participated in the round. The company was acquired by Musk’s SpaceX a few weeks later.
