Richard Liakpoli will fight Jimmy TKV for the British heavyweight title on the undercard of Tyson Fury’s return fight.
Fury will return to boxing for the first time in a year and will take on Arslanbek Makhmudov at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on April 11 in key support to Conor Benn vs. Regis Prograis.
TKV will face cruiserweight world title contender Liakpohe, who has successfully moved up to heavyweight, for the British Heavyweight Championship he won from Fraser Clarke.
Liakpohe most recently defeated Tommy Welch on the undercard of Benn’s rematch with Chris Eubank Jr., also at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Fraser Clarke suffered a heartbreaking defeat against TKV in November.
However, the Olympic bronze medalist will be back in the fray. He is set to face Australia’s Justice Huni, who was in the lead in his fight against Fabio Wardley last year but lost by late knockout.
Huni said: “It’s a real honor to be fighting in London on such a big card headlined by Tyson Fury. Britain has a proud boxing tradition and it means a lot to me to perform in front of the fans.”
“April 11th is another important step in my journey and I am here to deliver a strong performance and show that I am at the top.”
Additionally, there will be a preliminary match between Troy Williamson and Simon Zatchenhuber. Felix Cash vs Liam O’Hare. Elliot Whale vs Tom Hill. Hector Avila Lozano vs. Sultan Almohamed; Mikie Talon vs. Christopher Rios, Breyon Gorham vs. Eduardo Georgiev.
Watch Terry Harper take on Caroline Dubois for the WBC and WBO lightweight world titles live on Sky Sports on Sunday 5th April.
