The US and Israeli governments have vowed to continue deadly artillery fire, with the US and Israel attacking Iran at a rate far exceeding other recent conflicts, according to research group Air Wars.

In a report released Friday, Air Wars said the early days of the U.S. and Israeli attack on Iran “had significantly more targets (attacks) per day than any operation in recent decades.”

This includes Israel’s genocidal war against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, which began in October 2023, and the US-led operation against ISIS (ISIL) in Iraq and Syria in 2014.

Air Wars noted that US and Israeli officials said they hit about 4,000 targets across Iran in the first four days of the offensive, which began on Saturday.

“The United States and Israel have declared that they have hit more targets in Iran in 100 hours than in the first six months of the US-led coalition bombing campaign against the so-called Islamic State,” said the UK-based non-profit that investigates harm to civilians in armed conflicts.

“Comparisons between conflicts are often imperfect due to differences in the amount and type of information released by militaries, but this Iranian operation appears to significantly exceed other recent U.S. air battles.”

Friday’s analysis comes as US President Donald Trump appears to be stressing that any deal with Iran must result in Iran’s “unconditional surrender” and rejecting the possibility of a compromise to end the war.

“There is no deal with Iran other than unconditional surrender!” the US leader wrote on his Truth Social platform.

“Then, and after we elect a great and acceptable leader, we and our many wonderful and very brave allies and partners will work tirelessly to bring Iran back from the brink of destruction and make it economically bigger, better and stronger than ever before.”

Israeli Army Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir also said Thursday that Israel would step up attacks against Iran, adding that the “next phase” of the war “will focus on weakening the Iranian regime.”

“We will intensify attacks on Iranian regime facilities and military capabilities,” Zamir said.

At least 1,332 people have been killed in US and Israeli attacks across Iran so far, according to the latest figures cited by Iranian state media.

The attack prompted Iranian retaliatory missile and drone attacks across the Middle East, including Gulf Arab states.

At least six U.S. military personnel were killed in the Iranian attack, as well as 11 in Israel and three in the United Arab Emirates.
