PARIS, FRANCE – JUNE 11: The logo of Amazon Web Services (AWS), a division of Amazon.com’s US e-commerce group, is on display at the 9th VivaTech Show at the Parc des Expositions Portes de Versailles on June 11, 2025 in Paris, France. VivaTech is Europe’s largest technology show, but in a unique digital format, with four days of innovation to reconnect and reboot. The event brings together startups, CEOs, investors, technology leaders, and all the digital transformation players shaping the future of the internet. The annual technology conference, also known as VivaTech, was founded in 2016 by Publicis Groupe and Groupe Les Echos and is dedicated to promoting innovation and startups. Amazon The web service announced on Monday that it is facing another service disruption in Bahrain due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

“We are working closely with local authorities and prioritizing the safety of our personnel throughout recovery efforts,” a spokesperson said in a statement shared with CNBC.

AWS advises customers to migrate their applications to another AWS Region and said it has already helped many users migrate.

This comes after the cloud provider reported service interruptions related to the Iranian conflict in Bahrain and the UAE in early March.

In the United Arab Emirates, two AWS facilities were hit by drones. In Bahrain, a drone attack landed very close to a company’s facilities, causing physical damage.

These previous AWS disruptions resulted in reported app and digital service outages in the UAE.

Iran has continued to launch missile and drone attacks on neighboring countries in the Middle East in recent weeks as part of its retaliation against Israel and the United States.
