In Round 6 of the Super League, Hull KR defeated St Helens Sewell 52-10 as Sewell Group Craven Park, scoring nine tries.
As the 30th anniversary part of Super League continues, Hull KR got back to winning ways in some style and marked it by outscoring St Helens on every front.
With St Helens crumbling in the first half, Hull KR ran riot and took the lead with doubles from Mikey Lewis and Joe Burgess, as well as a try from Jez Ritten.
Lewis added another point with four of five tries and a penalty conversion, giving the home side an overall lead of 30-0 at half-time.
Burgess and Lewis then scored hat-tricks, Joe Batchelor and Jay Whitbread both scored, and Hull KR racked up over 50 points. The home crowd was delighted with their performance.

There was an unforgettable moment when George Delaney knocked on from the kick-off and Hull KR punished St Helens with a try from Joe Burgess.
St Helens got their names on the scoreboard with conversions from Owen Dagnall, Shane Wright and Jackson Hastings, all of whom were consolations after the blow.
The win was Hull KR’s second win in five seasons and Saints’ second defeat in six seasons, after losing to Warrington in the first leg.
There has been speculation as to where Hull KR head coach Willie Peters’ future lies beyond this year, but it is clear he has a team ready to fight for him in 2026.

It was all too easy for Mikey Lewis to score a third try against a St Helens team expected to be beaten badly.
The Saints’ weakness is exposed, and the Robins are fired up.
Hull KR’s last home game at this ground was 173 days ago against the very same opposition, who won the semi-final 20-12 and were looking for their first Grand Final win.
After a sluggish start to the season, they appeared to be making a comeback on familiar turf, with George Delaney knocking on from the kick-off and giving them a chance on the first play.
From there, KR took their time and finally sent a kick to Burgess for the highest score. Lewis scored for a 6-0 lead.

Hull KR continued their early momentum with Mikey Lewis scoring a wonderful try after slipping past a St Helens tackle.
After Burgess had his second goal taken away in the 8th minute, it took just 3 more minutes for him to score again. Lewis outscored Delaney, Harry Robertson and Owen Dagnall with his footwork and scored to extend their lead to 10-0.
While Saints faltered, Hull KR did not slow down and came out on top physically. David Kremer was hit on a late shot by Elliott Minchella and Lewis took a penalty for a 12-0 lead after the quarter.
Just three minutes later, some great team play resulted in another goal for the hosts. This time, Tyrone might hold his nerve by slicing down the right side and sending a pass back for Litten to cross. Lewis once again achieved the honors, gaining an 18-0 advantage.
It was time for Burgess to get the second goal he was looking for. He used his pace on the flanks to get ahead of Robertson, but bad defense from Saylor forced Burgess to push in and the conversion extended the lead to 24-0.

Hull KR looked like they could score at will, but Jez Ritten added to their first-half advantage with a brilliant clearance.
But Lewis wasn’t finished, as he barged over from short range in the 34th minute and once again made a perfect spike to put his team ahead 30-0 after 40 minutes. St Helens outperformed the reigning champions in every aspect.
Saints looked intent going into the second half, but within the first few minutes they found space on the right for Dagnall to dig into. Jackson Hastings couldn’t convert.
However, it took just six minutes for Hull KR to hit back, with Burgess taking advantage of the overlap to complete his hat-trick, and moments later Lewis completing his own treble by entering the same corner. With 26 minutes left, No. 6 made one of those for a 40-4 lead.
The saints were unable to stop the corruption, but they were also the masters of their own destruction. As they tried to play close to their own line, Hastings knocked in a poor pass from Deon Cross, which Batchelor was happy to remove.
Jay Whitbread was then brought on after some great work down the left flank, with Lewis booting both of them and reaching his half-century with 16 minutes remaining.
Wright pounced on the Saints with seven minutes remaining, and Hastings scored, but the goal did nothing to brighten a disastrous night for the visitors.
On the other hand, KR started the season in earnest with a strong win.

Hull KR head coach Willie Peters said on Sky Sports:
“I’m happy with tonight. It helped to be back home and the players settled down a bit. We mainly played through or defended (see Hull KR 2025 section).”
“We got off to a really good start. We only had three plays in our own half in the first 40 minutes. That’s the way we like to play. It was nice to score from behind that.”
“We’ve been inconsistent so far this season, but Game 10, Game 11 and Game 12 are where everything settles, so let’s see where we stand then. But I’d like to think this is a step in the right direction.”
St Helens head coach Paul Lawrie said on Sky Sports:
“Defensively, whether it was structure or physicality, we were way off the pace, probably in the second half from Toulouse last week to today, but as a result of that physicality Hull KR completely dominated us in field position and defensive coverage.
“The start was simple, physically we weren’t good enough and we lost in that area.
Naturally, the entire team will be reviewed. There will be a lot of soul searching. It may be a match too far for some of today’s young players. There are some bodies missing, but it’s still a shame and we learned some hard lessons. I hope you can learn.
“Humble guys, call us what you will. We are disappointed but, as always, this is part of the journey. Wigan have another physical team coming up so we have to be quick and learn.”
