Jannik Sinner won the Miami Open, making history as the first player to complete the Sunshine Double since Roger Federer in 2017.
The Italian defeated Jiri Rehekka 6-4, 6-4, becoming the first player to win Indian Wells and Miami in the same season without dropping a set.
Sinner won 92% of his first serve points and saved all three break points he faced along the way for an impressive victory.
He has now won 34 consecutive sets at the ATP Masters 1000 level, improving his record to 19-2 in 2026.

After winning the Miami Open, Sinner left a message for F1 Japanese GP winner Kimi Antonelli and US MotoGP winner Marco Bezzecchi.
“We’ve worked a lot to get to this position, so we’re really, really happy. And we’re happy to go home,” Sinner said after the game.
“It’s incredible to be able to make a Sunshine Double here for the first time. It’s something I never thought of, because it’s difficult to achieve. And we managed to do it, so I’m very happy.”
The world No. 2 player becomes only the eighth player to win back-to-back titles in Indian Wells and Miami.
The 24-year-old Italian, who won his first Indian Wells title last week by defeating Daniil Medvedev, endured a lengthy rain delay en route to his second title in Miami.
Rehekka dropped her serve for the first time in the tournament in the first set and fell behind 3-1. She fought off two set points from a 5-3 deficit, but took the set in the 47th minute when Sinner served out.
Play was halted for 80 minutes just three points into the second set, but the delay did not dampen Sinner’s clinical performance.
She continued through the second set without facing a break point and took the title in 93 minutes.
Sinner joins a club that includes Federer as well as Novak Djokovic, Andre Agassi, Marcelo Rios, Pete Sampras, Michael Chang and Jim Courier, and has won back-to-back games in Indian Wells and Miami.
“Today I tried to stay strong in completely different conditions. It was very heavy so it was difficult to get through the players,” Sinner said.
“I tried to be solid in the important moments and I’m very happy to be able to bring this (trophy) home.”
Henman: Relentless attack from sinners

Former Wimbledon champion Marion Bartoli said: “He has so much faith in his team and he understands that he wants to stay at the top of the game, so he has to keep improving all the time, because if you sit still, you actually go backwards.”
“It takes a lot of courage and sacrifice to put those difficult yards on the court. It’s a tough session, but he plays so well that he feels pride and joy as a reward for his work. (He’s) truly an incredible champion and a very valuable player.”
Sinner, a seven-time ATP Masters 1000 champion, is 1,190 points behind world No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz in the ATP Live Rankings after his statement this month.
