Hearts’ Derek McInnes, Falkirk’s John McGlynn and League One side Stenhousemuir’s Gary Naismith have been nominated for the SPFL Manager of the Year award.
McInnes was named as the man who worked with the Scottish Managers and Coaches Association to lead Hearts to the brink of their first Premiership title since 1966.
The Jambos have led the table virtually all season and are three points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership.
Hearts are unbeaten in league play at Tynecastle Park since the 54-year-old took charge last summer, losing just four games during this season’s campaign.
McGlynn will be targeting a record third successive Manager of the Year award, following on from his wins in 2024 and 2025, as he continues to take Falkirk to new heights.
After successive promotions, the Bairns secured a top six finish in their first season back in the Scottish Premiership.
Stenhousemuir have performed well under Naismith this season and are unbeaten at home in League One.
The Warriors are two points behind Inverness Caley Thistle in the title race with one game in hand and are aiming for promotion to the Scottish Championship for the first time.
Who will win the SWPL award?
This could be a double for Hearts this season with Eva Ollid on the SWPL shortlist.
She is currently in the lead with a two-point difference and is in contention to win her first women’s title.
Glasgow City have moved up to second in the table and Rhian Ross, who won 13 games as a player for the club and is aiming for his second league title as head coach, has also been appointed.
Gary Holt led Partick Thistle to a top six finish in the SWPL and was named on the shortlist.
The former Kilmarnock and Falkirk midfielder, who also managed Bayerns and Livingston, took over as Jags manager in November.
Braga, Just, Shankland and Maswanhise compete in Scottish POTY
Hearts duo Claudio Braga and Lawrence Shankland will face Motherwell’s Elijah Just and Tawanda Maswanhuis for the PFA Scotland Player of the Year award.
Rangers’ Mikey Moore is included in the young player category, along with Falkirk’s Bernie Stewart, Arbroath’s Findlay Marshall and Dundee’s Luke Graham.
PFA Scotland have also announced their female and young player candidates.
Glasgow City duo Lee Gibson and Nicole Kozlova are shortlisted, along with Georgia Timms of Hearts and Rangers forward Katie Wilkinson.
Rangers pair Laura Berry and May Craft, Hibernian’s Rosie Livingstone and Glasgow City’s Lisa Forrest are shortlisted for the Young Player of the Year award.
