Sky Sports’ Gary Neville says Manchester United need to sign four key players this summer if they are to progress to the next level after securing a spot in next season’s Champions League with a 3-2 win over Liverpool on Sunday.
But pinpointing where the team needs to improve, he told the Gary Neville Podcast: “I think Manchester United need a left-back for next season because Luke Shaw has played every game this season and could struggle.”
“They need a 100 percent centre-back and they also need two central midfield players.
“These four are our priorities at the moment.
“Look, if you can trade Mason Mount for another player who can be a little more flexible in the midfield and up front, then I would say, yeah, let’s go for a fifth. But if they can’t do that, I would say they’re the four. And they have to be top-notch, and those four are the priority right now.”
