The recent gunfight between Iran and the US is testing the ceasefire agreement between the two countries.

And in Lebanon, clashes between the Israeli military and the militant group Hezbollah are escalating despite the resumption of a US-brokered ceasefire between Israel and the Lebanese government.

Headings for this region include:

Strait of Hormuz: US forces shot down two more Iranian drones on Saturday, the US Central Command said, adding that they were threatening international traffic in the vital waterway. This came a day after the US military shot down four other Iranian attack drones that had been fired into the strait.

Lebanon: Both the Israeli and Lebanese forces reported deaths of personnel in southern Lebanon. According to the Israeli military, two Israeli soldiers were killed in separate incidents. The Lebanese army said several soldiers, including a senior official, were killed in the Israeli attack. At least 3,593 people have been killed and 10,990 injured in Lebanon since March 2, the Health Ministry said on Saturday.

Peace Efforts: Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi is in Tehran for a new round of negotiations on behalf of the United States. A senior administration official previously told CNN that negotiations have stalled over $24 billion in frozen Iranian assets.

Gulf States: The United States plans to allow Iranian assets to be used to help Gulf countries repair war damage, according to a person familiar with Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent’s thinking. Kuwait and Bahrain recently intercepted Iranian attacks after U.S. forces attacked radar monitoring facilities in Iranian coastal areas.

CNN’s Alena Fayaz, Lauren Chadwick, Kevin Liptak, Oren Lieberman, Dalia Abdelwahab, Billy Stockwell and Eyad Kurdi contributed reporting.
