space x fell more than 3% in premarket trading on Monday, continuing a decline that saw the stock fall over the past two days of trading after a record post-IPO rally.

The company’s stock was down 3.65% as of 5:15 a.m. ET.

Elon Musk’s space and artificial intelligence company has become one of the world’s most valuable companies after its blockbuster public offering on June 12th. SpaceX’s stock price skyrocketed in its first two days as a publicly traded company, with its market capitalization exceeding its market capitalization. Ahead of the June 1 holiday on Friday, the stock price fell 5% and 3.6% last Wednesday and Thursday.

The company’s stock was still up 37% since its historic debut at Thursday’s market close, when it offered shares at a set price of $135.

Bullish investors are betting big on CEO Elon Musk’s prospects to drive SpaceX’s long-term profits. The company posted a net loss of $4.9 billion in 2025, and a $4.28 billion loss in the first quarter of this year.

But the average investor who bought SpaceX stock on the open market after its debut saw almost all of the gains erased by the end of last week thanks to the rebound.

Nevertheless, the blockbuster IPO made Musk the world’s first billionaire, created thousands of new billionaires, and pushed some shareholders’ holdings to more than $1 billion.
