United Airlines reported earnings this afternoon, and the airline beat expectations. United Airlines said flyers continue to be booked despite rising fares and utility costs. The stock fell 2% after hours, but rose 28% in three months. The stock is up 13% from its June 30 high. CEO Scott Kirby will appear on “Squawk Box” Thursday mornings at 7 a.m. ET. UAL YTD Mountain United Airlines Year-to-date Performance Unemployment Claims Numbers in at 8:30 a.m. Consensus estimate calls for 218,000 unemployment claims. Prediction market Karshi says 35% of people participating in this online market believe the number will be over 215,000. Actual numbers are obtained live on “Squawk Box”. Before big gains, GE Aerospace is up 15% since its last report. The stock peaked on July 2nd, but has fallen 6% since then. Abbott Labs is down 12% since its last report three months ago. The stock is up 35% from its September high. UnitedHealth is up 33% in three months and 4% from last week’s high. Taiwan Semiconductor has gained 12% in three months and is up 12% from June’s high.
