Morning housing starts will be announced on “Squawk Box” at 8:30 a.m. ET. The FactSet consensus estimate is 1.31 million. This is an increase of 11.3%. Hovnanian is up 7% this week. The stock is down 16% from its September high. Toll Brothers rose 4.2% this week. The stock has fallen 7% from its February high. Pulte Group and NVR rose 3.4% this week. Pulte is down 10% from its February high, and NVR is down 22% from its September high. KB Home is up 2.7% this week, but the stock is down 16% from September’s highs. The results will be posted in the “Squawk Box”. The team will know the results and market reaction. The stock price has increased 13% in three months. Travelers hit an all-time high last week. The stock is down 3.3% from that level. According to a report from a local bank, “Squawk Box” Fifth Third rose about 20% in three months. Stocks hit new highs on Thursday. The State Street SPDR S&P Regional Banking ETF (KRE) also hit a new high during trading. It rose 13% in three months. Sales and profits for the second quarter were broadly in line with analyst expectations. Shares are down 8% in after-hours. Factoring in after-hours declines, Netflix is down 45% in one year. At one point in June 2025, the stock price rose to $134.12. Shares were trading at about $68 per share in extended trading Thursday night.
