Stock futures were little changed Monday night after rising oil prices weighed on major indexes. Investors also focused on corporate earnings this week.

“Earnings continue to flow in, but given high expectations, they may be more of a support than a catalyst for higher stock prices,” he added. “Yields around the world are knocking on the door to recent highs, forcing investors to make difficult choices between growth and profit. The stock market is under significant pressure after three months of impressive gains.”

As companies report their latest financial results this week, traders will be looking for details on spending on artificial intelligence. They will also hear an earnings report to confirm that management is not being more cautious about the second half of the year. Celebrities expected to report later this week include: alphabet, IBM and tesla.
