Here’s what CNBC TV producers were watching as the major stock averages ended a three-day losing streak, and what they’re watching for next session. AT&T will report during “Squawk Box” at 6 a.m. The stock price fell 14% in three months. AT&T is down 25% from its September high. T 3M Mountain AT&T Last 3 Months PulteGroup Reports on ‘Squawk Box’ at 6am Stock price fell 3% in 3 months. Pulte Group is down 14% from its Feb. 17 high. Alphabet reported after the bell that the stock had risen 4.5% in three months. Alphabet is down 15% from its May 18 high. CNBC has partnered with StockStory, a platform that takes a deep dive into stocks across all sectors, providing financial analysis, market insights, and recommendations. StockStory’s conclusion: “Alphabet is trading at $353.47 per share, which is a forward price/earnings multiple of 27.3. This high multiple means expectations are high for the company over the next 6-12 months.” The platform also said, “Alphabet’s dominant Google search ranks in the pantheon of all-time business greats. This is reflected in the company’s strong long-term revenue growth and elite operating margins.” Implied volatility, a key indicator of how much the market thinks a stock’s price is likely to fluctuate, is 6%. Last quarter, stock prices soared following the announcement of financial results. GOOGL 3M Mountain Alphabet Stock Price Over the Past 3 Months Tesla Reports After the Bell The stock price has fallen about 2% in 3 months. Tesla stock is down 24% from its high in December of last year. The stock price has fallen about 16% since the beginning of the year. “We have a better chance than Tesla,” Stockstory said. Stock Story highlighted the company’s forward price-to-earnings ratio, saying, “The current multiple is quite expensive, especially given the fundamentals of the business.” Chipp and Kramer’s Strategy The popular VanEck Semiconductor ETF (SMH) rose 4.5% on Tuesday. It rose about 5% in two days. It has fallen 13% from its June 22 high. Teradyne and Micron were the big winners on Tuesday. Both stocks were up 12% during the session, but the stock is down 22% from its high. Intel and Advanced Micro Devices rose 8% on Tuesday. Intel is down 26% from its June 30th high, and AMD is down 7% from its high on the same day. Jim Cramer of “Mad Money” argued that “We always forget that when you make a big showing in the semifinals, it’s a good opportunity to change the standings.” Some statistics back that up. Consider that SMH is up over 100% in one year. Ten of the 25 stocks in the ETF are up more than 140% in one year. Of the 25 stocks included in the ETF, 16 are up more than 50% in one year. Kramer also cautioned, “Don’t make a fuss just by owning the semifinals.” SMH 1Y Mountain VanEck Semiconductor ETF (SMH) Parabolic Seven Drops Over the Past 12 Months Tuesday saw big wins for a group that includes SanDisk, Micron, Intel, AMD, Marvell, Dell, and Broadcom. See how much these stocks have fallen from their highs. SanDisk is down 32% from its June high. Micron is down 22% from its June high. Intel is down 26% from its June 30 high. AMD is down 7% from its June 30 high. Marvel is down 36% from its June 18 high. Dell is down 14% from its June 1 high. Broadcom is down 22% from its June 3 high.
