Meta today announced a new Mac app for Meta AI with built-in system-wide dictation. The app can also use the Muse Spark model to see the current screen and answer questions based on context.
The company says the dictation feature works across all apps, as well as other tools such as Wispr Flow, Superwisper, and Monologue. Last month, Google also updated its Gemini app for Mac to enable system-wide dictation features.
The Mac app release is part of the Meta AI update for business owners. The company says merchants can connect their Instagram and Facebook accounts, Meta ad campaigns, and Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides) accounts to Meta AI and gain insights by querying the AI assistant.
Meta AI provides users with information about campaign performance and audience engagement metrics, allowing them to understand which posts are effective. It added that users can also access intelligence about competitors based on publicly available data.
New Meta AI and business tool integrations enable AI assistants to create pitch decks, draft documents, and spreadsheets.
Meta is increasingly focused on enabling businesses to use its AI tools for automated customer support and inquiries across apps like WhatsApp and Instagram. During the company’s Q2 2026 earnings call, CEO Mark Zuckerberg said there is a huge opportunity to sell agents to enterprises and automate tasks on their behalf.
