Canada deal If the deal moves forward, new tariffs threatened against our northern neighbor would melt away like thin ice on Saskatchewan’s Wapawecca Lake. The iShares MSCI Canada ETF (EWC) is slightly below Monday’s high. EWC will rise by about 15% in 2026, or about 32% in one year. Lagarde’s warning to Europe European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde said Wednesday that there are major challenges in Europe that could negatively impact the economy, including a possible shrinking of the U.S. defense umbrella, the changing face of Europe’s economic power in global trade, and reduced access to cheap energy to power manufacturing. The iShares MSCI Eurozone ETF (EZU) is doing very well. It hit a new high last week. The fund is up 11% in 2026 and 17% in one year. The iShares MSCI France ETF (EWQ) is down 2.5% from its February high. The iShares MSCI Germany ETF (EWG) is only 1% off its February high. He was attending a large technology conference at the White House on Wednesday. Hear his thoughts on cryptocurrencies as Bitcoin approaches $70,000. As of August, it was up more than 10%. The Clarity Act, the first major bill regarding cryptocurrencies, will also be on the agenda. Coinbase is up 7% over the past five days, but is still down 60% from its October high. COIN 5D Mountain Past 5 Trading Days Coinbase Meta Platforms California Attorney General Rob Bonta will appear on “Squawk on the Street” Thursday morning with David Faber, Carl Quintanilla and Sarah Eisen. The meth incident and Paramount’s deal with Warner Bros. Discovery will likely be high on the agenda. Mehta is being sued for allegedly harming children and teens. The stock has fallen 7.4% so far this week. The stock is down 31% from its September high. Micron Talks ‘Mad Money’ with Jim Cramer Sanjay Mehrotra, CEO of Micron Technology, will join Jim Cramer Thursday at 6 p.m. The stock has fallen 3.5% so far this week. It is down 25% from its June 25th high. However, it has increased 228% so far in 2026. 2026 MU YTD Mountain Micron Technology unemployment claims to be streamed live on ‘Squawk Box’ Numbers to be released at 8:30 a.m. Becky Quick, Andrew Ross Sorkin and Joe Kernen will know the numbers and market reaction. The Dow Jones consensus forecast calls for an initial number of claims of 210,000. Unemployment claims are a hot topic in prediction markets Kalsi: 48% of people trading this number believe unemployment claims will exceed the estimated 210,000, and 23% think they will exceed 215,000. Walmart’s report will be streamed live on Squawk Box Walmart’s quarterly report will be released around 7 a.m. Stocks are down almost 15% in three months. WMT 3M Mountain Walmart in 3 Months Deere Heavy Equipment Manufacturer reports on “Squawk Box” at 6 a.m. Deere rose 4% in three months. The stock is down 14% from its February high. Alibaba also reported early Thursday that its stock price has fallen 5% in three months. Alibaba stock is up 33% from its October high.
