Linkdaze’s smart calendar is built to manage your home, not just track your schedule

As back-to-school season approaches (or has already begun in some areas), it can get pretty confusing to keep track of everyone’s schedules. Between work, school, commitments, sports, household chores, and everything else, a regular paper calendar just won’t cut it. That’s where Linkdaze’s smart digital calendar comes in. This is a touchscreen tablet made specifically for organizing families instead of just one person.

One of Linkdaze’s biggest strengths is its compatibility with calendars. The system can sync calendars from popular services such as Google, iCloud, Outlook, Yahoo, and Cozi, a dedicated family management app. This is especially useful for families where different members use different platforms. Rather than asking everyone to switch to one calendar app, Linkdaze brings together multiple schedules and uses color coding to make it easy to identify individual family members.

Launched last December, Linkdaze comes in 15.6-inch and 10.1-inch models, giving you some flexibility depending on your wall space. In addition to calendars and appointments, you can also use it to manage chores, rewards, meal planning, shopping lists, and other family tasks. It can also be used as a digital photo frame to display family photos.

But the most interesting feature is Linkdaze’s AI meal planner with “Snap-to-Sync.” Instead of manually entering everything into a meal planning app, you can take a photo of a paper recipe or your child’s school lunch menu. Linkdaze turns that information into a digital meal plan and generates a shopping list from there. It’s not an entirely new idea, but it’s a useful feature that helps set Linkdaze apart from basic digital calendars.

Another big advantage is that Linkdaze’s main features don’t require a monthly subscription. This is an interesting choice in a category where recurring revenue is the default. Competing smart calendar brand Skylight offers additional features through a $79 annual subscription. For hardware companies entering the crowded smart display market, the decision will be between differentiating their products or losing a revenue stream.

Linkdaze also has a lower initial cost, with the 10.1-inch model starting at $119.99, while Skylight’s 10-inch model starts at $149.99 (if you pay the subscription fee).

Overall, this device could be a practical gift for busy parents looking to keep everyone’s schedules in one place. It’s also perfect for college apartments, where roommates can use it to coordinate housework, study schedules, sharing meals, and other household chores. It’s also very helpful for people who are juggling interviews, deadlines, meetings, story assignments, etc.
