Stocks with the biggest price movements at midday: SNDK, TSLA, NX, AMC

Check out the companies making the biggest moves at noon: Guidewire Software — Shares of the insurance company platform plunged 21% after the company reported a weaker-than-expected revenue outlook for the current quarter. Guidewire expects revenue in the range of $372 million to $378 million, compared to LSEG’s consensus estimate of $387 million. Full-year sales guidance ranged from $1.71 billion to $1.73 billion, compared with expectations of $1.7 billion. Tesla — The electric car company’s stock fell 6%. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced it will investigate whether Tesla’s CyberCab complies with all federal safety standards. The announcement comes after the company launched its robotaxis in Austin, Texas, on Thursday. SANDISK, KUALA LUMPUR — Both chip stocks rose sharply as the semiconductor industry rose ahead of the long weekend. SanDisk’s stock price rose more than 8% on the day, and KLA’s stock price rose 7%. The VanEck Semiconductor ETF (SMH) rose more than 2%, and the Round Hill Memory ETF (DRAM) soared 5%. Quanex Building Products — The window and door hardware maker saw its stock rise 19% after a rosy third-quarter earnings report. Quanex earned an adjusted profit of 79 cents per share on revenue of $501.8 million. That beat the FactSet consensus call of 66 cents per share, or $497.5 million. Adjusted EBITDA also exceeded expectations. AMC Entertainment — The company’s stock rose 6.5% after CEO Adam Aron criticized Robinhood for stock tokens such as AMC, calling its conduct “vile, outrageous and disgusting.” Robinhood stock fell nearly 1%. Equifax , TransUnion , Fair Isaac — Shares of credit monitoring companies fell in midday trading. Federal Housing Finance Agency Commissioner Bill Pulte said late Thursday that Equifax, TransUnion and Experian “have been overcharging Americans for far too long, and this will soon end.” Fair Isaac shares have struggled, falling more than 15%. Equifax stock fell 6.8% and TransUnion stock fell more than 7%. “FICO supports Secretary Pulte’s efforts to foster a competitive environment based on track record, reliable analysis, and outcomes for borrowers, lenders, and investors,” a FICO spokesperson told CNBC. “As the industry continues to modernize, we look forward to seeing FICO Score 10T implemented across the market to support sustainable homeownership opportunities and further competition, while keeping the housing finance system safe and sound.” Smith & Wesson — The firearms maker reported significant improvement in sales and bottom line, and a 6% increase in stock price. Smith & Wesson’s quarterly profit was 6 cents per share, compared with a loss of 6 cents expected by analysts polled by FactSet. Revenue was $112.6 million, compared to the consensus estimate of $98.7 million. Lululemon Athletica — The sportswear maker’s stock fell 17% after the company issued a bleak outlook for the current quarter. Lululemon expected per-share earnings to be in the range of 93 cents to 98 cents and revenue in the range of $2.29 billion to $2.32 billion. Analysts had expected earnings of $2.40 per share, or $2.53 billion. Zscaler — The cloud security company’s stock fell 5% despite the earnings beat. Zscaler’s fourth-quarter adjusted earnings were $898 million, or $1.19 per share, beating LSEG’s consensus call of $1.09 per share, or $877 million. The outlook for the current quarter also exceeded expectations. Adobe — The software company has announced that Anil Chakravarthy will be its next CEO. He replaces Shantanu Narayan, who announced he would step down from the position in March last year. The stock price last fell 6%. Asana — Shares of the work management software platform plummeted 14% after this quarter’s guidance failed to impress the public. Asana expects third-quarter revenue to be in the range of $217 million to $219 million and adjusted earnings of 8 cents per share. Analysts surveyed by LSEG were looking for earnings of 9 cents a share and revenue of $218 million. Samsara — This software company focused on the Internet of Things saw its stock price rise about 4%. Samsara expects full-year sales to be in the range of $2.04 billion to $2.05 billion, beating LSEG’s consensus estimate of $2.01 billion. Adjusted earnings guidance was 76 cents to 78 cents per share, beating expectations of 72 cents per share. UiPath — The software company’s stock fell 16%. UiPath expects adjusted operating income for the quarter to be approximately $100 million. That compares to the FactSet consensus estimate of $99.6 million. Revenue guidance for the current period is in the range of $440 million to $445 million, compared to an estimated $441.5 million. Oxford Industries — Shares fell 17% after the maker of Tommy Bahama and Lilly Pulitzer cut its full-year earnings forecast. The company now expects full-year adjusted EPS of $1.60 to $2 per share, down from previous guidance of $2.30 to $2.70 per share. The company now expects sales to be between $1.43 billion and $1.47 billion, compared to its previous forecast of $1.475 billion to $1.55 billion. —CNBC’s Fred Imbert, Ananya Chetia and Davis Giangiulio contributed reporting.
