US President Donald Trump has announced that he will ban CNN, MS NOW, and Politico from the White House effective immediately.

On Friday, President Trump took to social media to express his dissatisfaction with media outlets’ coverage of his administration.

“I am proud to announce that as a result of Fake News CNN, MSNOW…’s continued “reporting” of Fake News, I am immediately banning Fake News CNN, MSNOW from the White House!” Trump wrote.

“News organizations should not be able to constantly write and report fiction and lies when reporting on the President of the United States, the Trump administration, or the United States of America. Other fake news outlets should follow suit.”

Al Jazeera’s Alan Fisher reported from Washington that President Trump’s ban is likely to be challenged soon.

“We have a First Amendment (to the Constitution) that says the government can’t restrict access to this kind of stuff,” he said.

“Other presidents have been angry about media coverage. Lyndon B. Johnson often railed about it. Richard Nixon also wondered whether he could remove certain people from the White House,” he said. “They were told they didn’t look good in every way.”

Even more in the future…
