OpenAI has made one of its biggest bets ever on what’s next for chatbots. This time, the person leading the product will be attending TechCrunch Disrupt 2026, which will be held from October 13th to 15th.

Alexander Embiricos, Dots Product Lead at OpenAI, joins us at Moscone West in San Francisco, just days after the company announced its new always-on personal AI agent.

Dot is designed to do more than answer prompts. AI could become much more accessible to our work and digital lives, as they have their own cloud computers, can connect to the apps people use every day, and can continue working towards their goals in the background.

Don’t miss this conversation, exclusive to Disrupt’s AI stage. Register now to save up to $100 on tickets and get 50% off your second pass.

What happens when AI starts acting on our behalf?

Increased autonomy also raises some more difficult questions.

How much control can you actually give to an AI agent? What should it be allowed to do without asking? And as these systems learn more about us and gain access to increasingly sensitive information, will companies like OpenAI gain enough trust for people to use them?

At Disrupt, Embricos will be joining TechCrunch for a session called “What’s next for chatbots?” We talk about the thinking behind Dots, where OpenAI believes personal agents are heading, and why privacy and trust will ultimately determine whether personal agents take off.

Join Alexander Embiricos and more than 250 technology leaders as they lead the conversation across more than 200 sessions across six industry stages, roundtables, and breakout sessions at TechCrunch Disrupt, October 13-15 at Moscone West in San Francisco. Don’t forget the nearly 10,000 founders, investors, and executives with whom you can make meaningful connections.

There are 7 days left until Disruption. Save up to $100 on tickets and get 50% off your second pass before prices increase.
