lululemon On Wednesday, Athleta announced that CEO Maggie Gauger will join the company later this month as president and chief product officer.

The move marks the latest change in leadership in the increasingly competitive athleisure space, with Garger joining Athleta from Nike last year.

Lululemon said Gaegger’s job is a newly created role. The company also appointed Joseph Godsey as chief operating officer. In addition to the new announcement, Lululemon announced that Nikki Neuberger, its chief brand and product activation officer, and Ted Dagnese, its chief supply chain officer, will be leaving the company in November to “pursue other opportunities.”

“We are building an experienced leadership team that will work in a more coordinated manner, aligned around strategy and execution that has the greatest impact for our guests, communities and business,” Lululemon CEO Heidi O’Neal said in a statement. “That starts with putting product, design and innovation at the heart of how we operate, and we are focused and accountable for creating a stronger pipeline of differentiated products that raise the bar for our customers at every touchpoint, in-store and online.”

In a statement provided to CNBC, Athleta’s parent company said: gap It was confirmed that Mr. Geiger has left the company. The brand announced that Erica Everett, the brand’s current chief marketing officer, will oversee the role of brand CEO on an interim basis.

“We have been actively shaping Athleta’s next chapter and the changes necessary to position the brand for long-term growth,” Gap said in a statement. “This transition will allow us to accelerate that effort, strengthen our connections with customers, and realize Athleta’s full potential.”

Separately, Lululemon said it is also looking for a chief brand officer, chief communications officer and chief technology officer.

O’Neal took the helm of Lululemon last month after the athleisure company posted more than a year of disappointing sales results amid a proxy battle and received criticism from founder Chip Wilson.
