apple Chip leader Johnny Srouzi addressed rumors of an impending departure in a memo to employees on Monday, saying he has no plans to leave the company anytime soon.

“I love my team, I love my job at Apple, and I don’t plan on leaving anytime soon,” he wrote.

Bloomberg reported on Saturday that Mr. Srouzi told CEO Tim Cook that he was considering resigning, citing people familiar with the matter.

Srouji is considered one of the company’s most important executives and has been in charge of the company’s hardware technology team, including chip development. Since 2008, he has led the team at Apple that creates the M-series chips used in Macs and the A-series chips that are the heart of the iPhone.

The memo confirming his plans to stay at Apple comes as the company has experienced several high-profile executive departures in the past few weeks, raising questions about the stability of Apple’s top leadership.

In addition to developing the chips that allowed Apple to eliminate Intel from its laptops and desktops, Srouji’s team in recent years has developed a cellular modem to replace the Qualcomm modem in most iPhones.

Mr. Srouji frequently attends Apple product launches.

“I know you’ve been reading all kinds of rumors and speculation about my future at Apple, and I think you need to hear it directly from me,” Srouji wrote in the note. “I’m proud of the amazing technology we’re all building across a huge range of technologies across displays, cameras, sensors, silicon, batteries, and all Apple products.”

Last week, Apple announced that its head of artificial intelligence, John Gianandrea, would be resigning.

Two days later, the company announced the departure of Alan Dye, head of user interface design. Mr. Dye, who was involved in the redesign of “Liquid Glass”, participated. meta.

A day after Dye’s departure, Apple announced the departures of General Counsel Kate Adams and Vice President of Environment, Policy and Social Initiatives Lisa Jackson. Adams and Jackson both reported directly to Cook.

Jeff Williams, Apple’s chief operating officer, resigned this fall.
