Russia has launched its largest attack on Ukraine in months, launching nearly 1,000 drones in the past 24 hours, according to the Ukrainian military. The military said more than 550 of those drones were fired at targets across the country in rare and deadly daylight attacks. At least two people were killed in Ukraine’s western Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, the region’s governor, Svitlana Onishchuk, said. Four other people were injured, including a 6-year-old child.
