The pressure continues to mount on Wilfried Nancy after Celtic’s collapse and Rangers’ come-from-behind Old Firm victory to level them with their rivals in the Scottish Premiership.
The new manager had begged for time to make his mark ahead of the contest after losing five of his first seven games in charge, and an impressive first half suggested his wish might come true.
Yang Hyun-jun took the lead with a stunning strike, but Rangers were unable to extend their advantage as they were unable to equalize just before half-time due to Mikey Moore being offside.
Youssef Cermiti’s quick double gave the visitors the lead, and Moore took advantage of a mistake by Hoops keeper Kasper Schmeichel to extend their lead in the 71st minute, but missed chances and poor defending were lamented.
The result means Rangers are level with their rivals on 38 points, three points clear of leaders Hearts, and firmly back in the title race.
More to come.
