Chelsea consider Cole Palmer ‘untouchable’ amid links with Manchester United.

Palmer’s contract runs until 2033, and he is seen as an important player for the club’s future.

Despite recent reports suggesting the England international was uneasy in London and open to a move to Manchester United to return to the North West, Chelsea believe the player is happy at Stamford Bridge.

Palmer’s season has been hampered by groin, toe and most recently thigh injuries, which caused him to miss Sunday’s win over Crystal Palace, but he returned to training on Tuesday ahead of the Champions League game against Napoli.

The 23-year-old has not provided an assist in the Premier League this season, scoring four goals in 12 league appearances and scoring 15 and assisting 11 in 46 games last season.

Palmer joined Chelsea from Manchester City in 2023 in a £40m deal and went on to make 81 league appearances for the Blues, scoring 41 goals and providing 20 assists.

Chelsea in talks with Rennes over signing defender Jeremy Jacquet

Rennes centre-back Jeremy Jacquet has announced his desire to join Chelsea, despite interest from multiple teams.

Negotiations are continuing between the two clubs, with the Ligue 1 side hoping to keep the 20-year-old until the summer.

Jacquet was on loan at Ligue 2 club Clermont Foot last season and has made 18 appearances for Rennes this season.

DiSasi expected to retire

Axel Disasi is expected to leave Chelsea before the January transfer window closes.

Several clubs have expressed interest from England, Germany, France and Italy, with West Ham also an option.

Disasi has been training with the first team since Liam Rosenior’s arrival, although he did not quite meet the requirements under coach Enzo Maresca so far.

Sterling is scheduled to leave this month.

Chelsea are in talks with Raheem Sterling and his agents, with the player expected to no longer be at the club when the January transfer window closes.

Sterling continues to train away from the first team and still has 18 months left on his contract, which pays him more than £300,000-a-week.

The winger does not want to leave on another loan deal.

There is still time to find a potential permanent transfer or reach an agreement on a contract.

Jorgensen to stay at Chelsea

Filip Jorgensen is expected to remain at Chelsea during this period.

Chelsea’s second-choice goalkeeper has been the subject of interest from clubs in England, Germany and Turkey this month, who are keen to offer him more regular football, but Chelsea are reluctant to allow the Dane to leave before next Monday’s deadline.

Chelsea signed Jorgensen from Villarreal in July 2024 for £20.7m.

Jorgensen made 24 appearances for Chelsea last season, mainly in cup competitions, and was key to their success in the Conference League, but has only made eight appearances this season.

Jorgensen was injured in last week’s game against Paphos and was not pictured at Chelsea’s training session on Tuesday morning.
