After 35 winners across 40 events in 27 countries, it all comes down to the Rolex Series’ final two events in the United Arab Emirates: the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship and the DP World Tour Championship.
The top 70 players in the DP World Tour rankings will compete at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship at Yas Links from November 6th to 9th.
The top 50 will then compete in the season-ending DP World Tour Championship on the Earth Course at Jumeirah Golf Estates from November 13th to 16th.
What’s the problem?
The Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship will earn you 9,000 Race to Dubai ranking points, while the DP World Tour Championship will earn you 12,000 points.
Players are given a distribution of points based on their placement in each tournament. Prize money will also increase from 6.9 million pounds ($9 million) in Abu Dhabi to 7.7 million pounds ($10 million) in Dubai.
At the end of the DP World Tour Playoffs, the top 10 players in the Race to Dubai rankings will share a £4.6 million ($6 million) bonus pool, with the overall winner receiving £1.5 million ($2 million).
Additionally, the top 10 DP World Tour members who are not already exempt will earn PGA Tour cards for the 2026 season, giving them dual membership and expanded playing opportunities.

McIlroy is the man to beat
Rory McIlroy leads the Race to Dubai heading into the playoffs, with his victory at the Masters being one of three to give him a commanding lead over the field in 2025.
Defending champion McIlroy is aiming to win his seventh Harry Vardon Trophy but has work to do given the number of points awarded to his rivals in the final two events of the season.
McIlroy’s closest rival, Marco Penge, who won three DP World Tour events in 2025, sits just 441 points behind the leader, with Tyrrell Hatton, Robert McIntyre and even Tommy Fleetwood positioned around him.
To overtake McIlroy in the Race to Dubai, he will need to win at least one of the remaining two playoff events, ideally the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai, where he can earn the most points.
If McIlroy can limit his points by finishing outside the top 10 in both events, this could open the door for a dramatic change in the standings.

Coverage of the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship begins on November 6 on Sky Sports Golf and Sky Sports Main Event. Live broadcasts will begin at 4:00 a.m. for the first two rounds, 4:30 a.m. on the third day, and 3:00 a.m. for the final round on Sunday.
