England manager Thomas Tuchel has recalled Phil Foden and Jude Bellingham for November’s international break against Serbia and Albania.
Foden has not played for England since March but has been recalled following his recent improvement in form, scoring twice in Man City’s most recent Champions League win over Borussia Dortmund.

Bellingham returned after being left out of Tuchel’s final squad in October, despite the Real Madrid star saying he was fit and wanted a call-up.
Elsewhere, Bournemouth’s Alex Scott was given his first call-up. The 22-year-old midfielder represented England at youth level and won the Euros with both the Under-19s and Under-21s.

Despite his impressive form so far this season, Brighton striker Danny Welbeck is not included in the squad. However, Anthony Gordon’s name has been mentioned, as he was doubted to feature after sustaining an injury in midweek’s match between Newcastle and Athletic Club.
Crystal Palace’s Adam Wharton will return after missing the final two England squads and missing August selection through injury.
Morgan Gibbs-White, Reuben Loftus-Cheek and Miles Lewis-Skelly are not available despite having played in October. Newcastle shot-stopper Nick Pope will replace James Trafford.
Ollie Watkins will also be absent, but Tuchel has said his absence is due to an ongoing injury issue. This leaves Harry Kane as the only player allowed as number 9.

Jude Bellingham returns to England squad
Rob Dorsett of Sky Sports News:
“Attractive team selection by the England manager. Big players are back, including Bellingham and Foden. No real surprises, but they will still be in the headlines throughout this camp. Where are their best positions? How will Tuchel be able to cope with all the world-class No. 10 players? What is the relationship and dynamic with Bellingham?”
“But like all the big names, Tuchel also surprised everyone with the first call-up of Alex Scott (who no one expected to be in the squad) and the return of Wharton, who has yet to feature under the German national team.
“Elliott Anderson has been outstanding as a number six for England in the last two camps and we have three young defensive midfielders to watch.
“And it would be a real surprise to see Ollie Watkins out, although I have heard it could be fitness related.
“It will be tough for Danny Welbeck to miss out on time off, but it’s not too surprising for a player who turns 35 later this month and hasn’t played international football for seven years, despite his impressive results and six Premier League goals.
“Tuchel’s team only has one natural No. 9 in Harry Kane. Perhaps that is by design and he could see Marcus Rashford, Jarrod Bowen or even Anthony Gordon (unless he has to miss out with a hip injury) as makeshift frontmen.”
England’s salient problems are at hand.
Danny Welbeck has performed well this season but will be left out of Tuchel’s squad.
Peter Smith of Sky Sports:
“There are a lot of interesting storylines in this England squad announcement, but amidst the rotation of midfield options and number 10 substitutes, the one that stands out to me is the striker.
“Or it should be a striker, because it’s only Harry Kane.
“We don’t have Danny Welbeck, we don’t have Olly Watkins. The Aston Villa man hasn’t been doing well and Tuchel has given him time off as he continues to have injuries.”
“Of course, Marcus Rashford has been used as a number nine in the past, but he’s clearly better on the left and that’s where he thrives at Barcelona.
“Ivan Toney did not seem to impress Tuchel when he was in the previous camp, but Dominic Solanke’s injury problems are limiting his future.
“Liam Delap has just returned to Chelsea from injury and was quickly sent off at Wolves, but I think he could be a long-term option.
“But for now, there is very little left in the England centre-forward position. A lot depends on whether Kane can stay fit and keep fit.”
