Floyd Mayweather, who turns 49 later this month, announced he would come out of retirement after his fight with Mike Tyson in April.

After the exhibition bout with Tyson, Mayweather is scheduled to resume his professional career with his first fight scheduled for summer 2026, with an opponent to be determined at a later date.

This is Mayweather’s fourth time coming out of retirement, having previously retired in 2007, 2015 and most recently in 2017 after fighting Conor McGregor. At the time, he had a record of 50 wins and 0 losses.

“I still have what it takes to set more records in the sport of boxing. From the upcoming Mike Tyson event to the next professional fight after that, no one will generate bigger gates, get more global broadcast viewers and generate more money with each event than my events,” Mayweather said.

The 48-year-old American signed with CSI Sports/Fight Sports.

During his 30-year professional boxing career, Mayweather has amassed an unparalleled record of 50 wins and no losses while facing and decisively defeating some of the best fighters of his era.

He is responsible for all three of the highest-grossing boxing events of all time against Manny Pacquiao, McGregor and Canelo Alvarez.
