Tottenham’s 2-1 defeat against Fulham equaled the Premier League’s longest winless streak, further heightening Tottenham’s relegation fears.
Spurs substitute Richarlison gave the visitors hope of a second-half comeback, but first-half goals from Harry Wilson and Alex Iwobi left Tottenham without a win in 10 top-flight games.
Spurs are without a win in 2026 and have lost four consecutive league games, leaving them in 16th place, four points above the drop zone, with 10 games remaining.
Spurs’ defeat in west London highlights the huge task ahead for new head coach Igor Tudor, as he became the second Tottenham manager to lose his first two games in charge.

However, Fulham are heading in the opposite direction under manager Marco Silva, with back-to-back wins taking the Cottage to ninth place and firmly in the hunt for European qualification.
Fulham should have won more easily after Emile Smith Rowe missed two brilliant chances in the second half, but they survived a tense ending set up by Richarlison’s 66th-minute header.

Tudor adopted a 4-4-2 in west London, but Fulham quickly exploited Tottenham’s weaknesses with Wilson opening the scoring in the seventh minute.
Spurs were unhappy with the goal as Radu Dragusin felt pushed on his back by Fulham striker Raul Jimenez during the build-up to the goal, but VAR ruled the contact “did not meet the criteria for a foul”.

Tottenham’s nightmare first half, in which they were unable to get any shots on target, was made worse by Iwobi’s stunning goal in the 34th minute, curling a long-range ball into the bottom corner of the post.
Spurs substitutes Matthijs Tell and Richarlison sparked a second-half turnaround for the Tudor side, converting Archie Gray’s cross into Richarlison’s goal.
But Tottenham’s misery continues, with them winning just two of their last 19 Premier League games.
Tudor: We lacked defense, running ability and duel wins.
Tottenham manager Igor Tudor said this in the post-match press conference.
“It’s a complicated situation. There are many issues. I can’t say anything new. We need to find the strength within each of us. I told the players, that’s always what you’re going to do. What do you want to do with yourself? More individual. I hope you want to do more before you react. There’s a lot.”
“We’re missing when we attack. We’re missing the quality to score goals. We’re missing the middle to run. We’re missing the back to stay there and struggle and not concede goals. It’s a great situation.”
As for which players he can trust, he said: “The situation was complicated because we know how many players are coming back. One is that we have a complete squad to choose from. One is that we can’t choose because we have to choose goal-scoring quality.”
“You need quality players to score goals, otherwise you can’t defend all the time. But if you put players in when you’re in a bad situation, they lack defense, running and the ability to win duels. So what do we do? That’s the big question for the future: choosing what’s right for this team. Finding the formula, who we want to be, what we can do in this moment.”
“So it’s very difficult to understand, because you can get the quality, but football is also a sport of running and dueling. It feels like the Fulham players always got there first. Even with the brains, they got there before us. They predict – we’re always late.”
Silva: “We should have won by a bigger margin”

“Of course, in the end I think the three points are worth it. In terms of goals, with the amount of chances we created, it should have been different.”
“In the first half we were clinical and punished them. We had a number of moments in the second half where we could have scored, we had chances to score the third goal and put the game away for good, but we didn’t do it, that’s the reality.”
“At the level you are playing with individual quality on your side, they can always punish you and that’s what Richarlison did in that moment.
“But it was a great performance from us. I really believe that the dynamics we had in our attacking organization, controlling the game and creating chances, was great. It was a good game and I think the physicality of them, the two strikers, the channel balls and the more runs they made at the back, we controlled very well.”
“The only thing about the score is that it does not reflect our dominance on the pitch. But we are very happy with the performance and we will get another three points to move on.”
