OpenAI offers app integration with ChatGPT, allowing you to connect your account directly to ChatGPT and ask your assistant to take action. For example, when you integrate with Spotify, you can tell it to create personalized playlists that appear in the Spotify app.

To get started, make sure you’re logged in to ChatGPT. Then, enter the name of the app you want to use at the beginning of the prompt, and ChatGPT will guide you through signing in and connecting your account.

If you want to configure everything at once, go to the (Settings) menu and click (Apps & Connectors). Browse the available apps and select the one you like, which will take you to their respective sign-in page.

However, it’s important to note that connecting your account means sharing your app’s data with ChatGPT. Be sure to check the permissions you’re granting when linking your account. For example, when you connect your Spotify account, ChatGPT can see your playlists, listening history, and other personal information. (Sharing this information helps us personalize your experience, but if you have privacy concerns, please consider whether you are comfortable with this level of access before connecting.)

You can also disconnect the app from the (Settings) menu at any time if you wish.

Booking.com

This integration with the online travel giant is designed to help travelers, especially first-time visitors who need suggestions for accommodation.

When you link your Booking.com account, you can let ChatGPT search for hotels in your desired city based on your dates and budget. You can also specify the number of guests and whether you want a hotel near public transportation. ChatGPT aims to make this process more intuitive than searching directly on the Booking.com site. You can also be more specific, such as searching for “breakfast included” options.

Once you’ve found a hotel you like, open the Booking.com listing and complete your reservation.

ChatGPT’s Canva is a useful tool for graphic designers and anyone who needs to generate visual content quickly. Whether it’s a social media post, a poster, or a presentation slide deck, this might help you start a project and brainstorm ideas.

Once you’ve connected your Canva account, you can ask ChatGPT to design something like a 16:9 slide deck for your Q4 roadmap or a fun poster for your dog walking business. You can include details like your preferred font, color scheme, format (like Instagram posts or Stories), and exact dimensions.

AI-generated designs are rarely perfect, and in some cases the images may be distorted or have misspellings. However, some users may find this better than starting from scratch, and you can always visit Canva to tweak your design to get it looking exactly how you want it.

Coursera

Coursera’s integration is designed to help you quickly find the best online courses for your skill level. For example, you can tell ChatGPT to search for “intermediate Python courses.” You can then instruct the chatbot to compare course options by rating, duration, and cost before enrolling. ChatGPT also provides a quick overview of what exactly each course covers.

door dash

DoorDash’s newly launched ChatGPT integration aims to save you time when planning meals and shopping for groceries. Users can ask the chatbot for a meal plan, instantly add all the ingredients to their DoorDash cart, review, and checkout.

Currently, this feature is only available to users in the United States, and participating grocery retailers include Kroger, Safeway, Fairway Market, and Wegmans.

expedia

ChatGPT can show you hotel options and flight tickets via Expedia without leaving the chat. Whether you’re on a short or long trip, you can find flights that match your travel dates, budget, and number of travelers. You can narrow your search by typing something like “Show only 4-star hotels.” Once you find something you like, head over to Expedia to complete everything and book your trip.

figma

To use Figma with ChatGPT, you can ask it to generate diagrams, flowcharts, and more. This helps turn ideas and brainstorming sessions into something more concrete. It can also be useful for visualizing complex concepts and workflows.

You can also upload a file and ask the chatbot to generate a product roadmap for your team. This roadmap can include milestones, deliverables, and deadlines to keep your team organized and focused on your goals.

spotify

One of the best things about using Spotify with ChatGPT is the ability to quickly create playlists and listen to new song recommendations tailored to your specific tastes. You can create a playlist based on your current mood, or you can ask it to create a playlist that only includes songs from your favorite bands.

You can also suggest new artists, playlists, audiobooks, and podcast episodes. Additionally, ChatGPT can perform actions on your behalf, such as adding or removing items from your Spotify library.

target

Retail giant Target strategically launched a beta version of its ChatGPT integration before Black Friday. This feature allows shoppers to ask chatbots for gift suggestions and quickly create shopping baskets containing multiple items without leaving ChatGPT. For example, when a user requests movie night ideas, the chatbot provides a curated selection of available Target items. Shoppers can add these items to their carts and purchase them using their Target account. You can then choose between same-day “drive-up,” in-store pickup, or regular delivery.

Uber

If you’re planning a trip, our integration with Uber makes finding ride options easy. This is especially useful if you are in a new country. You can set up a ride in the ChatGPT app and complete your ride request and payment in the Uber app.

Currently, this service is only available in the US and you cannot reserve rides in advance. Only on-demand rides are available. You can choose from options like UberX, UberXL, Comfort, and Black.

There’s also integration with Uber Eats for US users, so you can check out local restaurants and menu items within ChatGPT, then complete your payment in the Uber Eats app.

Jiro

If you’re looking for a new home, Zillow by ChatGPT could make your search experience easier. You can use simple text prompts to find homes that meet your criteria and apply filters to narrow your results. Whether you’re looking for a specific price range, number of bedrooms, or a specific area, prompts allow you to specify these details, making the search process more efficient and tailored to your needs.

What’s next?

In conjunction with the announcement that OpenAI will bring its app to ChatGPT, the company also said it will soon welcome additional partners such as OpenTable, PayPal, and Walmart. These are expected to be released in 2026.

ChatGPT’s app integration deployment is currently limited to the US and Canada. Users in Europe and the UK are currently excluded.

This story has been updated to include the newly launched integration.
