New video has been released of the horror and chaos that erupted on Thursday when a fire broke out inside Le Constellation Bar, which was packed with people celebrating the New Year in the Swiss ski resort of Crans-Montana.
Footage obtained and reviewed by CNN further reveals what was happening inside and outside the building as people desperately tried to escape the flames that quickly engulfed the venue.
CNN verified the content by comparing the video with file images showing the inside of the bar and Street View images.
A video of the fire taken from inside the bar shows flames spreading to the ceiling. Music blares in the background as a crowd of people rush up the stairs to the exit.
Another video taken from outside the building shows people opening window panels and doors outside the club. If you open the window, thick smoke will come out. People can be seen staggering out of the building and over the fence to street level. Onlookers are gathered outside.
A third video, also shot from outside, shows the fire now growing into a raging inferno. The flames were raging, and the inside of the store was dyed a bright orange color. Screams echo inside the bar, and people panic, some jumping out of windows and others running down the stairs towards the street outside.
A fourth video shows people lying motionless on the ground outside the bar as bystanders tend to them.
The footage shows flashing blue lights, indicating that emergency services are on the scene at this point. It is unclear whether the people shown in the video are dead or alive.
The final video shows paramedics tending to victims in the aftermath of the fire. One person is seen lying on the ground covered with a blanket, and others are seen sitting around them inside the building.
