microsoft is scheduled to announce its second quarter results after the market closes on Wednesday.
Here are the forecasts of analysts surveyed by LSEG:
Earnings per share: Adjusted $3.97 Revenue: $80.27 billion
The consensus suggests that analysts expect sales to increase 15% year-over-year for the quarter ending Dec. 31.
Investors will be paying close attention to the growth rate of Microsoft’s Azure cloud infrastructure and other cloud services.
Analysts surveyed by StreetAccount and CNBC expect the category to grow 39.4% and 38.9%, respectively. Azure revenue grew 40% in the first quarter. The deceleration will follow three quarters of the continuous acceleration.
Like its cloud rivals, AmazonMicrosoft has been building data centers equipped with specialized chips that can run generative artificial intelligence models. Microsoft also pays for the following capacity: core weave and Nevius In the form of a lease.

Executives are scheduled to discuss the results and issue guidance on a conference call with analysts beginning at 5:30 p.m. ET.
