England captain Nat Silver-Brant has returned home for family reasons and will miss the remainder of the team’s intra-team series in South Africa.

The ECB said on Thursday that it did not expect her to play any further role on the tour.

The trip comes in preparation for this summer’s Women’s T20 World Cup, which moved from Abu Dhabi to South Africa amid conflict in the Middle East.

Shiver-Brunt led Team Bulletin, coached by John J. J. Lewis, against Team Hayhoe Flint, coached by Luke Williams and led by vice-captain Charlie Dean.

Nat Silver-Brunt became the first player in Women's Premier League history to score 100 points when she scored 200 points for Mumbai Indians against Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Nat Silver-Brunt became the first woman in the history of the Women’s Premier League to score a century when she helped Mumbai Indians score a double hundred against Royal Challengers Bangalore.

The tour will feature eight players who have not yet featured for England, including Tilly Courteen-Coleman, Jodie Glucock, Grace Potts, Grace Scrivens, Alexa Stonehouse, Davina Perrin, Leanna Southby and Ellie Threlkeld, who are looking to attract the attention of selectors.

The Women’s T20 World Cup will be played between England and Sri Lanka at Edgbaston on June 12, with the final scheduled to begin at Lord’s on July 5.

Although England lost in the semi-finals of the 50-over World Cup in October, they have won each of the four World Cups they have hosted.

Siver-Brunt recently highlighted England’s desire to match the home success of England’s women’s football team, who won as hosts of Euro 2022, and the Red Roses after winning the Rugby World Cup last year.

“This is your home World Cup and the energy you get in front of a crowd that’s really behind you is very special. It’s an addictive feeling,” Siver-Brandt told Sky Sports News.

“These are great times for women’s cricket, and with so many women’s sports teams such as the Lionesses and Red Roses achieving great results in recent years, I hope we can be next in line and do something really special for this country.”

“Hopefully we can conquer the U.S. for the summer.”
