The Jacksonville Jaguars had a clear win over the Denver Broncos while DK Metcalf hit a fan and Kenneth Gainwell landed potential catcher of the year in an NFL win over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday.
Jacksonville Jaguars 34-20 Denver Broncos
Trevor Lawrence threw three touchdown passes and ran for another score, leading the Jaguars to a 34-20 blowout victory and ending the Denver Broncos’ winning streak at 11.
The AFC South-leading Jaguars (11-4) won six straight games and suffered their first loss to the Broncos (12-3) since Week 3. It was also Denver’s first home loss since October 13, 2024, ending the Broncos’ home winning streak at 12.
It was all Jacksonville after Broncos rookie RJ Harvey pinballed it for a 38-yard touchdown on the first drive of the second half, tying it 17 yards.
Lawrence scored on a keeper and hit Parker Washington 63 yards, setting up Travis Etienne Jr.’s 10-yard TD catch.
After Bo Nix fumbled an exchange with running back Jaleel McLaughlin, Lawrence led Jacksonville to five straight points, and Cam Little made a 26-yard field goal early in the fourth quarter to make it 34-17.
Pittsburgh Steelers 29-24 Detroit Lions
The Pittsburgh Steelers pushed the Detroit Lions to the brink of playoff elimination, winning 29-24 after Jared Goff scored a touchdown on the final play, but an offensive pass interference penalty on Amon-Ra St. Brown nullified it.
Goff threw a fourth-down pass to St. Brown just before the goal line. The receiver pushed cornerback Jalen Ramsey free and threw the quarterback sideways for an apparent score before the Steelers took St. Brown to the ground. Officials huddled on the field for a while to announce the decision, much to the dismay of the crowd.
Jalen Warren had two 45-yard touchdown runs in the fourth quarter, giving him a career-high 143 yards against the Steelers, who held a 230-15 advantage in rushing yards.
The Lions had two touchdowns nullified by penalties in the final minute. Goff threw a 1-yard touchdown pass to St. Brown with 22 seconds left, but rookie Isaac Tesla was called for pass interference for setting up a pick that freed up a teammate.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers 20-23 Carolina Panthers
Bryce Young threw for 191 yards and two touchdowns, Lathan Ransom intercepted Baker Mayfield with 42 seconds left, and the Carolina Panthers defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 23-20 to take first place in the NFC South.
The Panthers (8-7) can clinch the division title if they beat Seattle next Sunday and the Buccaneers lose to Miami (7-8). However, if both teams win or both teams lose, the Panthers will need to defeat Tampa Bay again on the road in Week 18 to win their first division title since 2015.
Teitairoa McMillan had six catches for 73 yards and a touchdown as the Panthers bounced back from a devastating loss to the last-place New Orleans Saints with another big win.
Las Vegas Raiders 21-23 Houston Texans
CJ Stroud threw a touchdown pass, Derek Stingley returned an interception and scored, and the Houston Texans defeated Las Vegas 23-21, winning their seventh straight game and snapping the Raiders’ ninth straight loss.
Houston (10-5) is on its longest winning streak since 2018, when it won nine straight. In the AFC South, the Texans remain one game behind first-place Jacksonville, who won Sunday in Denver. The Raiders have 2 wins and 13 losses.
Stingley’s touchdown came in the first quarter, and Kaimi Fairbairn made three field goals to help the Texans win on a day where the offense struggled.
Houston led by two points with about eight minutes left, when Stroud found a wide-open Dalton Schultz for a 1-yard touchdown strike to make it 23-14. Nick Chubb had a 30-yard run on the drive, and a 23-yard pass interference call on Lonnie Johnson Jr. against Collins set up Houston’s two-point score.
Buffalo Bills 23-20 Cleveland Browns
James Cook rushed for 117 yards and two touchdowns, Josh Allen played through a foot injury, and the Buffalo Bills moved closer to a playoff spot with a 23-20 win over the Cleveland Browns.
Ty Johnson also provided a rushing score for the Bills (11-4), who have won four straight and five of six.
Allen injured his right leg during the second quarter, but played in the second half. The reigning NFL MVP had a leg advantage after being sacked by Cleveland’s Myles Garrett and Alex Wright with 60 seconds left in the first half for a 22-yard loss to Buffalo’s 1-yard line.
The half-sack gave Garrett 22 points this season. The Browns (3-12) need one more sack with two games remaining to pass Michael Strahan and TJ Watt for the single-season record.
Los Angeles Chargers 34-17 Dallas Cowboys
Justin Herbert threw two touchdown passes and ran for a score as the Los Angeles Chargers closed in on a playoff spot with a 34-17 win over the Dallas Cowboys.
Dak Prescott completed touchdown passes on the first two drives, but Dallas again failed to find the end zone, and Philadelphia won the NFC East against Washington on Saturday, knocking them out of the playoffs for the second straight year.
A 23-yard TD toss to Quentin Johnston was followed by a 25-yard TD toss to Ladd McConkie, followed by a 1-yard dive by Herbert on a modified tuck push. Johnston had four catches for 104 yards.
Cincinnati Bengals 45-21 Miami Dolphins
Joe Burrow bounced back from his first shutout loss to rush for 309 yards and four touchdowns as the Cincinnati Bengals defeated the Miami Dolphins 45-21.
After holding a 17-14 lead at halftime, Cincinnati exploded for 28 points off four consecutive Dolphins turnovers.
Burrow cut open Miami’s defense, making 25 of 32 throws and posting a passer rating of 146.5 before being replaced by veteran Joe Flacco early in the fourth quarter.
Two of Burrow’s touchdown passes went to running back Chase Brown from nine and five yards. Brown had 66 yards rushing and 43 yards receiving, and also had a 12-yard touchdown run.
Quinn Ewers, who completed 20 of 30 passes for 260 yards, was named Miami’s starting quarterback earlier this week after Tua Tagovailoa was benched.
New York Jets 6-29 New Orleans Saints
Chris Olave caught touchdown passes from Tyler Shaw and Taysom Hill, Charlie Smith tied the Saints record with five field goals, and New Orleans extended its winning streak to three with a 29-6 victory over the upset New York Jets.
Cameron Jordan had two sacks for New Orleans (5-10), giving the 15th-year defensive end 130 career sacks, two spots ahead of Hall of Famer Ricky Jackson and 17th in NFL history. Jordan has a team-high 8 1/2 sacks this season and has nine seasons with at least eight sacks.
Shuff, who was drafted 40th overall last spring, went 4-3 as a starter and passed for 308 yards, his first over 300 yards. Hill ran for 42 yards and received 36 yards for 116 yards, including a 38-yard scoring pass to Olave late in the game.
Smith, a Northern Irishman playing in his fourth regular season game, had hits from 35, 49 and 36 yards to give the Saints a 9-6 lead.
Atlanta Falcons 26-19 Arizona Cardinals
Bijan Robinson gained 171 yards from scrimmage and had a touchdown catch, Kirk Cousins threw two touchdown passes and ran for a score, and the Atlanta Falcons held on to beat the Arizona Cardinals 26-19.
Arizona’s defense had a chance to tie or take the lead with a fourth-down stop at its own 40-yard line with 2:05 left, but Atlanta’s CJ Henderson stopped it with a diving interception of Jacoby Brissett’s pass with 1:30 left.
Robinson had 92 yards receiving on seven catches, including a 13-yard touchdown, and added 76 yards rushing on 16 carries. The 23-year-old became the third player in franchise history to gain at least 2,000 yards from scrimmage in a season, joining Jamal Anderson (1998) and William Andrews (1981 and 1983).
Kansas City Chiefs 9 – 26 Tennessee Titans
Cam Ward threw for 228 yards and two touchdowns as the Tennessee Titans defeated the Kansas City Chiefs 26-9, snapping their 11th straight home loss.
With two games remaining, the Chiefs (6-9) are guaranteed their first losing record since 2012, the most recent season without Andy Reid as coach. Kansas City has lost four in a row and six of seven in a row, its longest since 2017.
A week after Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes suffered a season-ending torn ACL, his backup Gardner Minshew was sidelined with a knee injury early in the second quarter.
Minnesota Vikings 16-13 New York Giants
JJ McCarthy ran for a touchdown before leaving with an injury to his right throwing hand as the Minnesota Vikings defeated the New York Giants 16-13 and backup quarterback Max Brosmer helped them win their third straight game.
Just as the Vikings (7-8) appeared to be running out of time in the first half, McCarthy was injured on a strip sack by Brian Burns. Instead, Barnes hit McCarthy hard enough to cause a fumble, which Tyler Nubin returned 27 yards for a touchdown.
