Sky Sports will partner with Wrexham AFC co-chairmen Rob Mack and Ryan Reynolds to provide live commentary for the Wrexham v Swansea City EFL Championship match on Friday 13 March as part of the first-of-its-kind broadcast.
Live from Wrexham with Rob & Ryan will be hosted by David Prutton and will provide fans with a unique match experience through commentary and candid conversations between the two.
Produced by Sky Sports and broadcast exclusively on Sky Sports Football, the match will see fans entertained by a number of high-profile guests during the match.
“As with our decision to take over Wrexham five years ago, we have no idea what the future holds, but we will do our best. Neither of us have ever participated in a sporting event of any kind, let alone a sport where we basically learned the rules five years ago,” they said.
“In any case, it’s going to be another unpredictable day at the racecourse and we can’t wait. We’re grateful to our partners at EFL and Sky Sports, and we hope the latter have the buzzer button ready.”
Sky Sports presenter David Plutton added: “Rob and Ryan have done a fantastic job at Wrexham and really understand what makes football and the EFL special.”
“We look forward to welcoming them to our coverage and bringing a unique and fun experience to our fans, offering them something they’ve never seen before.”
Fans can watch Rob and Ryan’s live coverage from Wrexham on Sky Sports Football from 7pm on March 13 alongside the main match coverage of Wrexham vs Swansea.
These are exciting times for Wrexham. They have won promotion for the third year in a row, something no club in the history of English football has achieved, and are in contention for a fourth promotion. They currently sit sixth in the Championship and are well on their way to the play-offs.
