Sky and DP World Tour have announced a four-year partnership extension, which will see Sky Sports and NOW remain the home of the Ryder Cup and DP World Tour in the UK and Ireland until at least the end of 2029.

The new deal, which starts in 2026, will see Sky Sports exclusively broadcast the next two of golf’s most iconic team competitions, the 2027 Ryder Cup at Adare Manor in Ireland and the 2029 Ryder Cup in Hazeltine, USA.

A record number of sports fans will watch golf broadcasts on Sky Sports in 2025. The new rights extension follows Team Europe’s historic Ryder Cup victory at Bethpage Black, which was the centerpiece of the most-watched weekend in Sky Sports history.

Sunday’s single session attracted Sky Sports’ biggest ever viewership in golf, with one in four TV viewers tuning in to watch the dramatic final, including more than 40 per cent of those aged under 35.

Sky Sports social channels also generated a total of 55 million views across all platforms, while digital engagement saw 12.4 million page views across Ryder Cup week across the Sky Sports app and skysports.com.

Under the new agreement, Sky Sports viewers will continue to enjoy unrivaled coverage of the DP World Tour’s 25-country global schedule in 2026, including five Rolex Series events: the Hero Dubai Desert Classic, Genesis Scottish Open, BMW PGA Championship, Abu Dhabi Championship and DP World Tour Championship.

Jonathan Licht, Sky’s chief sports officer, said: “We are extending our long-standing partnership with the DP World Tour at a time when golf viewership is reaching record highs.

“This year’s Ryder Cup, held at Bethpage Black, once again proves why the Ryder Cup remains one of the most glamorous events in global sport, and we look forward to bringing our fans two things:

“This year’s Amgen Irish Open attracted record crowds for the DP World Tour, and we are confident there will be many more unmissable moments during the season-long race to Dubai over the next four years.”
