Cameron Dicker kicked a 54-yard winning field goal before Tony Jefferson intercepted Jalen Hurts at the 1-yard line as the Los Angeles Chargers defeated the struggling Philadelphia Eagles 22-19 at SoFi Stadium on Monday night.

The Chargers (9-4) overcame Odafe Oweh’s penalty for a neutral zone violation to give the Eagles a first down on fourth-and-4. One play later, Hurts threw deep to Jahan Dotson in double coverage, but Jefferson kept his foot in bounds on the game-ending play.

Hurts threw four interceptions, the Eagles committed five turnovers, and the defending Super Bowl champions suffered a season-worst three-game losing streak to fall to 8-5.

Jalen Hurts’ pass was intercepted by Cam Hart and Tony Jefferson clinched the victory for the Chargers in overtime.

When asked about the magnitude of the win, Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh said, “It puts us in the conversation about having seven kids and getting married.”

Saquon Barkley gave the Eagles their first lead with a 52-yard touchdown to start the fourth quarter making it 16-13.

Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert completed 12 of 26 for 138 yards, one touchdown, and one interception while playing with a surgically repaired left hand that prevents him from throwing. He ran for 66 yards on 10 carries.

“He’s a superhero quarterback,” Harbaugh said.

Hurts’ pass was intercepted by Chargers defensive lineman Dashawn Hand, who fumbled the return to Hurts, who made another big mistake!

Eagles quarterback Hurts was 21-of-40 for 240 yards and four interceptions.

In the first quarter, they committed two turnovers on the same play as part of a chaotic sequence that saw them suffer an interception and a fumble.

Dashawn Hand picked off Hurts and fumbled the ball, then Hurts recovered and fumbled, then Troy Dye recovered and gave the Chargers the ball.
