The latest leaderboard for this year’s opening major, the Masters, held at Augusta National in Augusta, Georgia.
Rory McIlroy becomes the defending champion following his playoff victory over Justin Rose last year, becoming the sixth player in history to complete a career Grand Slam, and the first since Tiger Woods.
World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler entered this week without finishing in the top 10 in his past three PGA Tour starts, but was listed as the pre-tournament favorite for the third time, with the four-time major champion heading into the final day with a four-shot lead.
Cameron Young and Sam Burns were among the challengers heading into the final day, and McIlroy started tied for the lead after a roller-coaster third round where he squandered a six-stroke advantage.
Young will look to repeat the Scheffler-McIlroy run of the past two years by following up his win at The Players with a win at the Masters, while Rose, Jason Day and Haotong Li are all in contention for Sunday.
There are 91 players competing in this week’s major, the first of four in recent months for men’s golf. The Masters will be followed by the PGA Championship (May 14-17), U.S. Open (June 18-21) and British Open (July 16-19).
