Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua are set to compete in a highly anticipated showdown next year.

The plan to meet between the two former world heavyweight champions was reported by Ring magazine, owned by Riyadh season manager Turki Alarcik.

A match between Joshua and Fury, two of the greatest heavyweights of their generation and two of the greatest British heavyweights of all time, has been discussed for years but never materialized.

The report also states that Fury and Joshua are scheduled to have separate fights in 2026 as part of the Riyadh season.

Joshua is set to face Jake Paul later this month, marking his first fight since being dismantled by Daniel Dubois in September 2024.

Most Valuable Promotions CEO Nakisa Bidalian is backing her business partner Jake Paul to pull off an upset in his upcoming fight against Anthony Joshua.

Fury is currently retired after consecutive losses to WBC, WBA and IBO champion Oleksandr Usyk. However, Fury previously announced his retirement, only to return to the ring several times.

In 2021, British stars almost had the chance to fight for the title of undisputed heavyweight champion.

However, Deontay Wilder exercised his rematch clause after Fury stopped him in the seventh round of their second encounter, making it the third fight between the two. Joshua had to face Usyk.

Ahead of his bout with former two-time heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua, let’s take a look at Jake Paul’s boxing resume.

Joshua (28-4, 25 KOs) lost a unanimous decision to Usyk, but Fury (34-2-1, 24 KOs) stopped Wilder in 11 rounds to defend his WBC heavyweight title.

Usyk defeated Joshua again in the rematch, then defeated Fury twice in 2024, becoming the undisputed heavyweight champion with his first win.
